Delicious & Nutritious Homemade Granola

1/2 c chopped walnuts

1/2 c chopped pecans

1/2 c oats (for gluten free-make sure certified GF)

1/4 c pistachio nuts

1/4 c pumpkin seeds

1/4 c lg coconut flakes

2 T coconut flour

1/4 c pure, real maple syrup

1/4 c honey (*if vegan-more maple instead)

1 T vanilla extract

1/2 t cayenne powder

Stir in ingredients and put on dehydrator trays flat and thinly spread for 12-24 hours. If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can use oven on low heat about 200 degrees until desired consistency. Of course, I use all organic ingredients.

Makes about 24 oz (or 3 cups) of granola.

This granola can be enjoyed by itself, as a cereal, on top of a yogurt bowl with added fruit, or as dessert…the list goes on. Perfect for school lunch snacks, too.

A few of my family members don’t like fruit, so we add ours afterward. There are so many more ingredient choices~so get creative! What are some other choices you like to add? Comment below or let me know how this recipe worked out for you.
